What is Greater Today TCAD?

A browser workbench for 2D semiconductor device simulation. You describe a device in a short text deck, run DC sweeps on the open-source DEVSIM engine, compare results and search for designs that hit a target, with an optional Claude-powered assistant.

Who is it for?

University labs, GaN and silicon device teams, early-stage hardware startups and educators who want quick, inspectable device simulations without a workstation setup.

Which devices can I simulate?

AlGaN/GaN HEMTs and silicon NMOS from built-in templates, plus your own 2D devices made of rectangular regions written as a deck. Examples include a GaN MIS-HEMT and an NMOS with a dielectric choice.

Does it replace Sentaurus or Silvaco?

No. Greater Today TCAD has not been benchmarked against established TCAD tools or measured devices, and it doesn't claim equivalent capability. It is for fast exploration; confirm important results with established tools.

Can I import my ATLAS decks?

Not directly. The deck syntax is our own, so existing ATLAS decks need translating by hand. The docs list every statement.

Is it 3D? Does it do AC or transient analysis?

Not yet. The current build is 2D with DC analyses: transfer, output, off-state and operating points.

How accurate are the results?

They agree with analytic estimates for the default devices, and the models' limits are published. They are not calibrated against measured devices, so treat them as exploration rather than prediction.

Do I have to use the AI assistant?

No. Everything works without it. When you do use it, your messages and the results it works with are sent to Anthropic to generate replies.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. We don't use your designs or simulation data to train AI models, and we don't sell personal information.

Can I export my results?

Yes. Each run downloads as curve CSV with units, result and input JSON, and the full solver log.

How do I get access?

Greater Today TCAD is in private beta. Email us with who you are, what you simulate and the first question you'd want answered, and we'll reply personally.

Working on GaN or silicon devices?

We're opening the private beta to a small number of labs and teams. Tell us what you simulate.
